Clinton’s economic remedies miss Trump’s diagnosis
The nonpartisan website realclearpolitics.com, which compiles an average of multiple polls, shows Clinton, seeking to become the first female president in the US, with a 7.7-percentage-point lead over Trump, a real estate mogul making his first run for elected office.

“He wants America to work for him and his friends at the expense of everyone else”.
Republican House leader Paul Ryan told reporters that Trump’s comment Tuesday sounded like a “joke gone bad”. Trump argued that his plan will help small businesses.
Many conservatives fear the tycoon’s outbursts could damage not only his White House prospects, but the re-election hopes of many in the party.
For Trump, the next opportunity to shift back to more positive themes was to come Wednesday when he holds a pair of rallies in Abington, Virginia and in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. “And if you are running to be president or you are president of the United States, words can have tremendous consequences”, Clinton said at a rally in Des Moines, Iowa.
It wasn’t immediately clear whether Trump’s latest stumble would continue to dog him or whether, like many in the past, it would quickly fade away. In July 2016, Trump found himself at the center of criticism for encouraging Russian hackers to “find the 30,000 emails that are missing” from Clinton’s tenure as Secretary of State.
A source close to Clinton said she would soon release the return, supplementing the decades of returns she and her husband have already made public.
“He’s offered no credible plans to address what working families are up against today”, Ms Clinton said in Warren, Michigan, shortly after touring Futuramic, a hangar-like, high-tech factory that makes parts for the aerospace industry.
A federal official yesterday said the US Secret Service had not formally spoken with Republican Donald Trump’s presidential campaign regarding his suggestion a day earlier that gun rights activists could stop Democratic rival Hillary Clinton from curtailing their access to firearms.
“We should strengthen those rules so that Wall Street can never wreck Main Street again”, she said. He also pledge to cut regulations for people who want to start a new business. One of the entries from 2013 is particularly interesting. If he wanted to tell gun rights advocates that they can use their weapons against Clinton, he would have said it outright. Trump has complained previously that two debates are scheduled during National Football League games.

“He certainly has at least shifted numerous headlines towards his economic plan, but a lot of attention continues, and likely will continue, to be paid to his temperament”, Dan Mahaffee, an analyst with the Center for the Study of the Presidency and Congress, told Xinhua. But, he added, “I have to see the conditions”.
