The body found Sunday was near Three Sisters Island, which is where the August 6 incident occurred.
Multiple news outlets report authorities say the body was discovered Sunday near Three Sisters Island, which is where 23-year-old Kevin T. Husum of Panama City, Florida, fell from a pontoon boat on August 6 and did not resurface.
Husum went missing from a pontoon boat Saturday, August 6.
Crews in Hall and Forsyth counties are resuming their search Saturday afternoon for yet another missing person on the waters of Lake Lanier.
Forsyth County Fire Investigator Jeff Hundley said the incident was reported to be about 300 yards off shore near Vann’s Tavern Park, in water just over 125 feet deep.
“Rangers are continuing to search that area using sonar, but the 125-foot-deep water and the heavy timber along the bottom are making the search very hard”, McKinnon said. Last weekend, the operator of the pontoon boat, Kenneth Toller of Cumming, Ga., was arrested for Boating Under the Influence (BUI).

The search efforts are primarily being conducted in the evenings and overnight due to heavy boat traffic during the day.
