Andy Reid has no interest in Hard Knocks

Texans coach Bill O’Brien has seen tonight’s first “Hard Knocks” episode and, as feared, he may have helped it earn an “R” rating.

The show offers a behind-the-scenes look at how a team prepares for an NFL season with a 30-person crew that shoots well over 1,500 hours of footage and has access to all aspects of the organization and its facilities, including team meetings, training rooms, living spaces, practice fields, offices and more.

The series, which has won 12 Sports Emmy Awards, and will feature five one-hour-long episodes. And, just in case you feel like you can reconcile yourself with all those previously mentioned issues with professional football, good news!

In March, the Texans released their 2014 center, Chris Myers, and Jones spent OTAs shuttling between his 2014 position and center, the spot he played in college at Georgia, as Houston tried to find its best line combination. Dissinger said the first episode reveals a personality bigger than stars J.J. Watt, Vince Wilfork and Arian Foster.

The extended chat with Coach Reid focused on plenty of other topics relevant to his team (including the return of Eric Berry and expectations for Eric Fisher) and to getting his team ready to go for a season in which the Chiefs hope to get back to the playoffs. “I think you’ll see Tuesday night just what kind of personality he is”.

The NFL Films crew involved is documenting their eighth NFL training camp. “(He) stayed out here signing autographs until 10”. Will it make the final cut on “Hard Knocks?”
