The video goes on to show bodies from an alleged air raid, including that of a girl whose eyes flicker open briefly. When I saw her I was very happy. This is the summary of our message to the Federal Government and the parents of Chibok girls. Nigeria’s Ministry of Information and Culture, Nigeria said in a Facebook post Sunday government officials are communicating with the individuals allegedly behind the video.

Mr. Rabe, a Brigadier General, also disputed allegations in the video that some of the kidnapped girls were hit by an airstrike.

He said that two recent incidents indicated that the trio have information on the conditions and the exact location of these girls.

Nigerian hardline militant group Boko Haram has recently published a video showing footage of dozens of school girls abducted two years ago, and saying some of them have been killed in air strikes.

“Presently, some of the girls are crippled, some are terribly sick and some of them, as I had said, died during bombardment by the Nigerian military”, the fighter says on the video, according to the AP.

“The Chibok girls must be rescued, they must have their lives, the future that Boko Haram tries to truncate”, she said in an emotional outburst. Now, it appears to be in the middle of a leadership struggle, as we have reported: “The Islamic State has officially named Abu Musab al-Barnawi as the militant group’s new leader and says he will pursue a different strategy – but the old leader, Abubakar Shekau, says he’s still in charge”.

“Therefore, the Nigerian Army hereby declares the two gentlemen and the lady wanted for interrogation”.

One young captive pleads with the government to agree a prisoner swap to secure her release.

The group also claims that some of the girls had been killed in military airstrikes in Sambisa forest.

But the missing schoolgirls were not among them, despite several unconfirmed sightings.

“As you can see, these are the girls, all we want is for you to release our brethren, otherwise, you will never get these girls, God willing”.

“Clearly, my status as a Nigerian journalist who has reported extensively, painstakingly and consistently on the Boko Haram menace in the country since 2006 is an open book known to Nigerians and the global community”.

The soldier focused on one of the girls so she could verify her identity to the cameras.

The militant group pledged allegiance to the Islamic State a year ago.

The unidentified figure also claims that an unspecified number have been killed as the Nigerian government has battled the group in the north of the country.
