Apple Partnering With App Developers To Expand iPad Business Market

As more information becomes available about the new business initiative by Apple to take their iPad tablets further into the business market we will keep you updated as always. Android claimed 25 percent of activations, up from 15 percent in the first quarter, while Windows rose from four percent to 11 percent. With the looming release of the iPad Mini 4, many analysts are speculating that the mini version of Apple’s flagship tablet will also feature split-screen mode.

That is about to change. The WSJ report declared that the company’s long-term objective is to sell app bundles developed for particular businesses and that it is attempting to obtain old IBM associates to develop iPad apps. Some partners, like Xero, have been invited to train Apple business specialists while other undisclosed partners were invited to an Apple sales conference in March, an event that is typically closed to company outsiders.

Apple, for its part, is helping those companies to hone their iOS apps the Apple way.

The initiative, which is being called the “mobility partner program” or MPP, will see Apple competing in a workplace tech market that’s worth around £1.3 trillion per year. Apple is also supposed to introduce the iPad Pro that could be especially attractive for business users. The tools need to be productive and customizable.

After releasing the iPad mini 3 without any significant upgrade over its predecessor and following declining iPad sales, Apple is under pressure to deliver a better experience with the upcoming iPad mini 4.
