The injury happened as the Saints were doing goal-line drills and Rankin went down with a leg injury. So everyone in New Orleans is hoping for a speedy recovery.

According to Jeff Duncan of The Times-Picayune, Rankins was injured during a goal-line drill at camp today. The Saints took him in the first round of the NFL Draft in April. In college, Rankins was a great playmaker on defense for the Cardinals, as he totaled 14 sacks and 26.5 tackles for loss in his final two seasons.

Rankins is a rookie.

For the Saints, it would be awful news if this injury is a serious one and he is forced to miss time.
