Clinton Plans to Release 2015 Tax Returns Within Days

Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton picked apart Donald Trump’s economic plan in a major speech today and detailed her own plans for USA trade and tax reform. Hillary raked in nearly $1.5 million in six paid speeches while Bill made more than $5 million for his talks.

It’s not even about the more than $1 million the Clintons have given to charity (the vast majority to the Clinton Foundation). To accomplish this, the press not only rejected the context of Trump’s entire statement but also completely overlooked Founding Father James Madison’s sentiment that Second Amendment people do in fact have a role to play in the balance of power in this country.

The Clintons even paid a higher tax rate past year than the average effective federal tax rate of 33.4 percent for the top 1 percent of taxpayers.

In recent months, news organisations have unearthed public records that give a glimpse of what Trump paid in income taxes for eight out of the last 41 years.

But billionaire Mr Trump has declined to release his, arguing that his tax returns for the past several years are being audited.

When asked about his taxes at the time, Nixon willingly released the returns that had been under audit: “I welcome this kind of examination, because people have got to know whether or not their president is a crook”.

Trump steered clear of mentioning his personal taxes Friday.

In 2014, the Clintons made $28,336,212 in total income, deducted $5,159,242, and paid $9,981,350 in total taxes, according to a tax return posted on the campaign’s website.

“In stark contrast, Donald Trump is hiding behind fake excuses and backtracking on his previous promise to release his tax returns”.

The Clintons have disclosed tax returns for every year since 1977.

Her opponent’s refusal to release his own returns makes Clinton’s wealth and its origins harder for Republicans to assail.

Protesters at Trump afternoon rally in Erie, Pennsylvania, held up signs reading “Tax Forms” before being escorted out by security.

Trump had told The Associated Press in May that he would not release his returns before the November 8 elections.

Her running mate, US Senator Tim Kaine of Virginia, also released his tax return, showing he and his wife paid a federal effective tax rate of 20.3% in 2015, the campaign said.

You would have to go back to Gerald Ford to find a major presidential candidate who paid a higher effective federal tax rate than Clinton, Thorndike said. Meanwhile, Bill Clinton delivered 43 speeches that same year, with speaking fees ranging from 100,000 dollars to 750,000 dollars.

She also said that eliminating the Estate Tax, as Trump said he would do, might save the Trump family as much as $4 billion. The campaign did not respond to messages.
