This is the full version of the game available to play in VR with a gamepad, just like you’d play it on a 2D monitor. It’s a free update for people who already own the Windows 10 Edition Beta version of the game, but you can also get on board if you purchase the beta edition now. Once users have redeemed, they’ll be able to upgrade to the Oculus Rift edition of the game immediately thereafter. That means you can access all of the same content either in-game or downloadable without any complications.
Of course, one of the biggest differences between the Rift and the Gear VR is the Rift’s Touch motion controllers, which are set to come out later this year.
