Gronkowski, who walked off under his own power, had been a full participant in all training camp practices but did not play in last Thursday’s preseason opener against the New Orleans Saints.
It is unclear at this time if Gronkowski suffered any serious injury. After the incompletion, he removed his helmet and slowly paced the field. According to multiple reports from Patriots practice, Gronkowski pulled up short while running a route during practice.

Gronkowski met with head athletic trainer Jim Whalen and then walked off the field to the lower practice field where those rehabilitating injuries practice.
