Was Wimbledon teenage tennis player poisoned?
Police are investigating allegations a British tennis player was deliberately poisoned during this year’s Wimbledon tournament.

Police are now investigating whether she was deliberately poisoned, The Telegraph newspaper said.
Had she won, she would only have been one match away from the final, leading police to investigate the possibility that she was poisoned by a jealous player, a rival coach or a representative of a crooked worldwide betting syndicate.
But some strains, including the one Miss Taylor is thought to have contracted, can be much more serious and can even cause fatal organ failure. “You’d have to catch a rat, make sure it was infected and get it to pee in her bathwater or something”. She further confirmed that the infection team found that the bacterium is extremely rare in Britain and what befell her daughter was not in any way remotely accidental.
Taylor’s mother said her daughter’s drinks were often left unattended in the players’ lounge, speculating that someone could have contaminated her drink.
Taylor, ranked 381, has returned home and is recovering from her illness with her eyes on returning to the tennis court.
This barbaric poisoning allegation was received by the police officers on August 5. The victim was taken ill on July 6.
Police are investigating allegations that Gabriella Taylor, from Southampton, was targeted during last month’s championships.
The Southampton-based star had been staying at the National Tennis Centre during the tournament and had only been travelling between there and The All England Club at Wimbledon.
A criminal investigation was launched last week after fears that the 18-year-old may have been poisoned in order to ruin her chances in the tournament.
“It is unknown where or when the poison was ingested”, a spokesman added.
Speculation has surrounded the possible source of the bacteria and police are yet to rule out the possibility of sabotage after launching an investigation into the teen’s illness.

This week the tennis player tweeted that she was “so happy” to be back on the court.
