On Monday, he got his wish.

The Ravens finally have their defensive leader back on the field. The 2011 National Football League defensive player of the year has recorded double-digit sacks in his last four full seasons.

He opened training camp on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list and did not take part in any drills leading up to the Ravens first preseason game against the Carolina Panthers. He has not practiced in nearly a year.

Suggs, 33, recorded 12 sacks in 2014 and 10 the previous year.
