Perhaps the most interesting part of her speech was her strong and certain affirmation that she would reject the Trans Pacific Partnership deal if elected-a stance opposite the one she took while serving as secretary of state.

A prominent American journalist, James Fallows of The Atlantic magazine, suggested Trump’s very criticism reflected a degree of desperation, tweeting on Sunday: “I’ve seen winning campaigns and losing ones”. Trump continued his attacks calling President Barack Obama the founder of ISIS and Hillary Clinton the co-founder. It’s a strategy that initially anxious some Clinton aides, who feared he would drown out their candidate’s general-election message. His focus is exclusively on the news media that he says is “protecting” Hillary Clinton.
“Just think about what we could do with those $4 billion”, she said.
Clinton on Thursday ran through numerous policies she has outlined over the previous year to contrast herself with Trump, who has given far fewer details about his plans, as the presidential campaign heads toward the November 8 election.
Clinton leading Trump in key swing states of N.H., Fla. The campaign has denied any wrongdoing on her behalf. Yet Clinton is undoubtedly beginning to cast her gaze beyond the Democratic base.
“Mr. Trump may talk a big game on trade, but his approach is based on fear, not strength”, Clinton said in MI.
Mrs. Clinton’s speech also painted sharply divergent visions of where the country is headed.
Instead, Clinton made a systematic attempt to disqualify Trump in the eyes of moderate Republicans, blue-collar workers and other up-for-grabs voter blocs.
“There is an adage in politics: Don’t get in the way of a train wreck”, said Democratic strategist Bob Shrum, a top campaign aide to presidential candidates Al Gore in 2000 and John Kerry in 2004.
She labeled one portion of his plan that would allow the wealthiest Americans to pay significantly less on pass-through income-income of business owners that is counted on individual returns-the “Trump Loophole”. Trump has broken with decades of presidential candidates by refusing to make his filings public.
Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., warned that the “campaign is not over” and described Trump as still being in transition from the bulldog who beat 16 rivals in the GOP primary to a general election candidate who communicates differently to a wider electorate what he wants to do differently than Clinton.
“I would say they could be tried there”, Trump said. Trump argued that his plan will help small businesses.
Many voters have signaled their desire for dramatic change – from the success of Bernie Sanders insurgent challenge to Clinton to Trump’s successful bid for the GOP nomination against a host of establishment favorites – in a nation facing stagnant wages, intense anxiety and rising income inequality.
“His inability to put anything real on the ground in battleground states is campaign malpractice”, Bird said.
“The common thread linking the major Islamic terrorist attacks that have recently occurred on our soil … is that they have involved immigrants or the children of immigrants”, he said.
The Times story painted a dire picture of the Trump campaign; said that some of Trump’s advisers “now increasingly concede that Mr. Trump may be beyond coaching;” and asserted that “in private, Mr. Trump’s mood is often sullen and erratic, his associates say”.
Republicans caution the race remains far from settled, especially since voters don’t particularly like either candidate.
Proceeds were to benefit the Hillary Victory Fund, a joint venture of the Clinton campaign, the Democratic National Committee and Democratic state parties.
