Joe Biden: Donald Trump ‘Not Qualified’ to Know Nuclear Codes

In his first appearance on the campaign trail Monday afternoon, Vice President Joe Biden was unsparing in his criticism of Republican candidate Donald Trump, ripping the mogul for his ignorance, cynicism, “lack of empathy”, and habit of pandering to dictators.

He hit Trump for what Biden described as an affection for strongmen like Russian President Vladimir Putin, and for employing “the politics of fear”, and allegedly threatening to send American citizens to the military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. “It’s a recipe for playing into the hands of terrorists and their propaganda”, Biden added. “He would’ve loved Stalin”.

Biden passed on a run for the White House past year but is reprising a familiar role as a Democratic ambassador to the middle class and serving as the determined critic of Donald Trump.

Clinton also blasted Trump’s proposed tax cuts by saying the plan would mostly benefit wealthy families like the Trumps.

Biden is holding his first campaign rally with Clinton in his hometown of Scranton.

The Biden aide said the vice president will say that the opposing party’s candidate ‘Donald Trump doesn’t have a clue when it comes to the needs of working families.

Donald Trump is delivering a foreign policy address and, once again, blaming President Barack Obama for the rise of the Islamic State group. He has promised a tougher stance with America’s adversaries and end to the chaos that has spread out of Iraq and Syria. She also went after Trump: “Friends should not let friends vote for Trump”, Clinton told the audience, before pivoting to his company’s treatment of its workers.

“I’ve laid out my strategy for defeating ISIS over many months”, Clinton said. “No, Donald, you don’t”.

Hillary Clinton nearly took a spill on Monday as she stepped down from the podium to make way for Vice President Joe Biden during their joint campaign event in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

“His wonderful son Beau, a great father, a great public servant, a great human being, passed away past year, so this is personal to Joe Biden”, Clinton said.

Clinton was riding to the rally with Biden in the motorcade to their first joint campaign event. He ultimately decided not to run amid pressure from President Obama and other top Democrats.

Hillary Clinton pledged to continue Vice President Joe Biden’s cancer moonshot initiative if elected president and called on Congress to pass funding for the effort.

“My Administration will carry out the mission the Vice President has set, and continue to call on his advice, leadership, compassion, and sheer strength of will”, Clinton said.

He pointed out to a crowd in his native Scranton, Penn., the individual in his entourage who carries what is known colloquially as the “nuclear football”, a briefcase used to authorize the launch of atomic weapons. The town’s boom years in the early 20th century gave way to diminished population and industry. Biden was born in Scranton and Clinton spent summers there visiting her grandparents.

He also said that South Korea and Japan should obtain nuclear weapons so they could solve their own problems without relying on USA aid. That trip was canceled after five police officers were killed in a shooting ambush in Dallas, Texas. She has maintained a lead there against Trump since 2015, but the NY mogul’s support began to fall off dramatically in early August.

Clinton is ahead 48-37 in Pennsylvania, according to an NBC/Wall Street Journal/Marist poll. Only in recent weeks has Clinton been able to make up that difference by unrelentingly focusing on Trump’s bankruptcies and outsourcing jobs.

Directing his pitch to voters who were struggling financially, Biden said, “There’s only one person in this election who will possibly help you, and that is Hillary Clinton”.
