Trump to Hugh Hewitt: ISIS Came About Because of Obama’s ‘Bad Policies’

There’s no question about this: President Obama is not the founder of ISIS. He’s the founder! He founded ISIS! “And I would say the co-founder would be crooked Hillary Clinton”, he said on Wednesday.

In a follow-up tweet Friday morning that may have also been related to the recent controversy, Trump hit media personalities who were “working so hard and so seriously to try and figure me out”. He told Hugh Hewitt, “He was the most valuable player”.

Also on Tuesday at a rally in North Carolina, Trump labeled Clinton the Islamic State’s “most valuable player”. “I mean, I call them co-founders”.

Hewitt even attempted to counter Trump’s statement by saying that Obama is “trying to kill them” and is “not sympathetic” to them. Asked specifically about USA citizens, Trump told the Miami Herald that he didn’t like that Obama and others wanted to try them in traditional courts. ISIS is a common acronym for the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria. “I think they’re liking it”. It’s offensive. Because you must really mean it.

“Our government isn’t giving us good protection, our government has unleashed ISIS”. Later, speaking to CNBC on Thursday, the NY real estate tycoon said, “No I meant that he’s the founder of ISIS. I do. Her only competition is Barack Obama, between the two of them”. The group capitalized on the Syrian civil war from 2011 onwards to expand and join its Syrian and Iraqi forces, eventually creating ISIS, seizing more territory from 2014 onwards and declaring a self-proclaimed caliphate.

“She disagrees with his views and disavows his support”, he added. He railed against the fact that the Orlando shooter’s father, Seddique Mateen, was spotted in the crowd behind Clinton during a Monday rally in Florida, adding, “Of course he likes Hillary Clinton”.

Hewitt and Trump went back and forth after that, with Hewitt warning Trump that his critics would seize on his use of “founder” as more example of Trump being loose with words. “And then worldwide and we let ISIS take this position”.

Hillary Clinton will speak about working families at an engineering and manufacturing center in Warren, Michigan. She should get an award from them as the founder of ISIS. That’s what it was.

The Democratic nominee isn’t expected to use her speech to come out with any major new policies.

Donald Trump denied that the Secret Service talked to him about his Second Amendment comments.

Clinton meanwhile launched an open appeal on Wednesday to independents and Republicans repulsed by Trump over his string of controversial statements.

“What I care about is national security first and foremost”, Marks, a CNN military analyst, told CNN’s Erin Burnett on “Erin Burnett OutFront”. Clearly, there’s culpability. There’s a lot we could have done in Iraq.

He repeated his stated contention that the war in Iraq was a mistake.

“That mistake was made”. That was a frightful mistake. It was a awful mistake – one of the worst mistakes in the history of our country.
