I hope Pep Guardiola gives Yaya Toure a chance
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola hails Yaya Toure after leaving the Ivorian out of his squad for Tuesday’s Champions League playoff first leg with Steaua Bucuresti.

Speaking of his relationship with Guardiola, Toure has previously alluded to bad blood between the two, saying in a radio interview: “Whenever I asked him something, he always gave odd answers”, Toure told ONA FM. I have one that I believe in a lot and I try every training session and every game to convince these guys that this is the best way to win the game.
“I have a lot of respect him, his career, his quality”.
He said: “I speak sometimes with the players and say the reason why”.
In what is being described as new manager Pep Guardiola’s “revolution”, the future of Toure is now the subject of intense speculation.
Hope he gives Yaya the chance to prove he’s still good enough.
“Yaya is the flawless professional and he will do his job”, he told Sky Sports. “City fans know he will do his best”.
He will wait until the January window, or even the end of the season when he can leave on a free transfer.
Joe Hart should stay at Manchester City and fight for his place, according to Gary Neville. Belgium worldwide defender Jason Denayer was also missing despite being eligible to play.
Guardiola also made headlines at the weekend by dropping long-time City and England number one Joe Hart to the bench.
The England global watched from the bench as Willy Caballero started the 2-1 win against Sunderland at the Etihad – and it’s a position he might have to get used to.
“Of course he can play”.
“And just because I decided on this line-up today, that does not mean in the future they are not going to play or they are going to play”.

Hart is in the squad and could feature, while Nicolas Otamendi is also available after recovering from a tendon problem.
