Joe Biden Challenges Donald Trump on National Security in Campaign Trail Remarks

In his first campaign appearance with Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, Mr Biden, who decided not to make a third presidential bid previous year, also said that Mr Trump was indifferent to the needs of Americans.

They are scheduled to speak at 12:45 p.m. Monday at Riverfront Sports, 5 West Olive St.

“Hillary has forgotten more about about American foreign policy than Trump and his entire-I’m not joking here-and his entire team will ever understand”, Biden said.

She even took time to acknowledge Evie Rafalko McNulty, Lackawanna County Recorder of Deeds and widow of the late Scranton Mayor Jim McNulty, who died earlier this year.

Set in the VP’s childhood hometown, Scranton, the location has special meaning for both Democrats – Clinton’s father Hugh Rodham also grew up in the Pennsylvania town.

Biden, too, turned to Trump toward the end of his remarks. Then, drawing connections with Biden: “The story of the Rodhams and the Bidens isn’t unique”, Clinton said.

This as questions about her emails, and ties to the Clinton foundation while she was Secretary of State continue to follow her campaign.

Clinton said wherever Biden goes “he’s always the same guy”.

He says voters know that Clinton is “smart”, “tough” and “bright”, but don’t recognize her passion for helping improve the lives of America’s working and middle class. Voters perceive him as “the complete antithesis of Donald Trump”, Schale said.

The GOP presidential candidate will argue the country needs to work with anyone that shares that mission, regardless of other disagreements.

While introducing Biden, Clinton told rally-goers about her family’s history in the city: how she was christened there, how her grandfather worked at the Scranton Lace Company, giving her dad a chance to go to Penn State.

But she also acknowledged that some in attendance might know someone who is considering voting for Trump in November.

On the economy, Clinton said even before Trump laid out his economic agenda last week, she “didn’t think it was going to be good for working Americans”.

“I think this is awesome how she came back here to see everyone”, Susan McCarthey, of Wilkes-Barre said.

“There’s only one person in this election who will possibly help you and that is Hillary Clinton”, he says. Her lead is narrower in OH (between 4 and 5 points in recent surveys), but with the exact same pattern – Trump leads among non-college-educated whites, but Clinton’s edge with college-graduate whites and others puts her ahead.

Clinton’s fall comes on the same day as Donald Trump’s comments in OH questioning Clinton’s health.

“That kind of talk just scares me”, Hertling said. “He has been, from day one, outlining different proposals he has had to make America safe, to make us more secure and to avoid this existential threat ISIS (is) posing for us”.

He also challenged Clinton’s fitness to be president, declaring she lacks the “mental and physical stamina” to take on the extremists.
