Trump “speaks his heart and he speaks his mind” and in doing so has drawn attention to important issues, Pence said on “Fox News Sunday”.
According to Trump filings, legal documents and other public records, the businessman and TV personality paid no federal income tax during at least five years: 1978, 1979, 1984, 1991 and 1993. “The Pences have not become more wealthy as a result of 16 years in public service”.
Trump is frequently critical of the Times and upped his attacks on the newspaper during a Saturday night rally in Fairfield, Connecticut. Trump credited the crowd while expressing confidence he can win, despite recent polls showing him losing ground and some prominent Republicans publicly speaking out against him.

Pence said Trump, the GOP presidential nominee, has made it clear he will “release the taxes when that audit is completed”. Earlier, he appeared at a fundraiser nearby.
Trump told a crowd gathered for a Saturday evening rally in a sweltering Fairfield gym that he was making “a big play” for CT.

With scorching temperatures outside, the gym grew warm quickly and several people needed medical assistance before Trump even took the stage.
On Saturday morning, at a campaign stop in his hometown, Columbus, Ind., Pence ignored questions from reporters about whether he would release his returns.
“I couldn’t be more honored to be campaigning shoulder-to-shoulder with a man who I believe is going to be the next president of the United States”, the IN governor told Fox Sunday News.
In a campaign appearance Saturday at St. Anselm’s College in Manchester, New Hampshire, Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine urged supporters not to let favorable polling and positive punditry make them complacent when it comes to voting for the Democratic ticket.

“I think at some point, you have to put the party aside and say, ‘What’s best for the country?’ I don’t want to live in a society that I think Donald Trump will create”. He said the plan includes major investments in research, infrastructure and helping to train people in advanced manufacturing.
