The Chile worldwide has been heavily linked with a £17.5million move to join Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, who left out regular number one Joe Hart for the Premier League win over Sunderland on Saturday.

Wilfried Bony, Eliaquim Mangala and Samir Nasri have also been left and out and look set to leave the club, while 21-year-old central defender, Denayer, is thought to be looking for a fresh loan spell away from the club.

Toure and Guardiola had a troublesome relationship during their time together at FC Barcelona, but the new City boss has insisted he does not have any personal issues with the player. Stekelenburg did play very well in the opener against Tottenham, but that was only one game and Stekelenburg is 33 years-old.
Guardiola, Toure’s manager at Barcelona when he was sold to City in 2010, said: “He is a player of us and he is training incredible, but I was not sure if he was going to play, and so I prefer it if he stays there training good in Manchester”.
The second leg between City and Steaua will be played on August 24. He has to learn the capabilities of these players and some of them will be asked to do specific jobs that they are not used to in training games and that’s fine.
“He has not been included against Sunderland or Steaua Bucharest but that’s okay”.
Speaking of his relationship with Guardiola, Toure has previously alluded to bad blood between the two, saying in a radio interview: “Whenever I asked him something, he always gave odd answers”, Toure told ONA FM.
Luis Enrique was happy to have both of them at the squad but Ter Stegen expressed his unhappiness at his bit-part role towards the end of last season and the situation appeared to go out of hand.
“Every day was incredible, but I sit with my people, and myself I decide what is best. The most important thing for me is to enjoy this game and that I keep improving”.

He said: “I speak sometimes with the players and say the reason why. His behaviour, his training sessions, on the pitch, off the pitch.so he is a big professional”.
