Xbox Game Preview Heading to Windows 10
Move over Steam Early Access and GOG Games in Development and the ilk, because here comes Microsoft with the Xbox Game Preview programme for Windows 10. This was announced three years ago at Gamescom, and Charla says in an Xbox Wire post that “it’s been a rad three years”. As with XGP and Early Access, this will enable devs to let gamers play their titles before the projects are completed in order to gather feedback.

What has only recently come to light is the news that this PC will be the first to boast Microsoft’s new Xbox Wireless Ecosystem features.
Xbox One controllers can be used with PCs now, but you need a dongle to make them talk to each other, since Xbox Wireless isn’t a typical connection standard like Bluetooth which you’d already have built-in to a gaming computer.
According to Greenberg, the Xbox Game Preview program on Windows 10 “gives gamers the chance to preview and purchase work-in-progress digital titles, participate in the development process and help developers make Windows 10 games the best they can be”. In the future, we plan to enable direct integration of Xbox Wireless into PC motherboards with our hardware partners.

In the future Microsoft is planning to launch a range of Xbox Wireless accessories like joysticks and headsets from partners such as Astro, HyperX, Lenovo, Mad Catz, PDP, Plantronics, Razer, SteelSeries, and Turtle Beach.
