Simone Biles, Simone Manuel Win Gold in Rio

Biles will go down in history and her Olympic moment will be remembered for years to come. Surprisingly, the Americans’ spot in the mix at the top has been taken by the Brits, who have revamped their program in recent years, winning a team bronze in London four years ago.

“It was good, I feel very excited because having gone to worlds and having two silvers and a bronze it means a lot to me …” Her lovely smile and powerful gymnastic routines lead her through this year’s Olympic Games giving people around the world something to be proud of.

Douglas said her teammates “did an unbelievable job”.

“Biles owned the vault”. Paseka put up a 15.266 on her Cheng compared to Biles’ 16.033. “I told her before today, I want you to win and I want second”. On Sunday, Biles and her teammates will compete for more medals in the individual apparatus events.

Simone Biles struck gold once again at the Rio Olympics, overcoming all obstacles and becoming the 2016 women’s all-around gold medalist. She held on for a bronze medal behind Maria Paseka of Russian Federation.

The vault final included a wide field of gymnasts in Rio Olympic Arena: it’s rare, for instance, for an Olympic gymnast to face a competitor who’s more than twice her age.

It’s become clear that American gymnast Simone Biles is just operating on another level.

Namesake skill, which she does on her second tumbling pass on floor exercise. “The Olympic gymnast seemed like she could totally care less when her teammate Simone Biles won the women’s all-around event, looking so salty and refusing to stand and cheer on her victory”, Hollywood Life reported on Friday.

Raisman has yet to say if she will retire after the Olympics and what she plans to do following the Games.

Uzbekistan’s Oksana Chusovitina, competing in her 7th Olympics at 41 years old, attempted the tricky Produnova vault in hopes of making the podium. She won gold with a poised, graceful routine. Team USA’s Madison Kocian took silver with a 15.833 after winning the qualification round, ahead of Germany’s Sophie Scheder in third.

Aly Raisman will likely waive goodbye to Olympic competition on Tuesday
