Welcome back! Arizona Coyotes sign forward Radim Vrbata

Custance added that the deal will be for just $1 million, though, with built-in bonuses for performance to increase earning potential for the forward that Morgan suggests could be worth up to $3 million if Vrbata reaches all the qualifying points.

Radim Vrbata had the worst non-lockout/non-injury derailed year of his career since 2003-04 last season with the Vancouver Canucks. He spent the last two seasons in Vancouver after five years with the Coyotes. He tallied 27 goals and 29 assists for the Coyotes in 2007-08 before signing with the Tampa Bay Lightning as a free agent. The Vrbata signing gives the team more scoring depth from the right side and continued cap flexibility.

In Vrbata’s first season with the Canucks, the veteran winger managed to score 31 goals and 63 points in 79 games.
