Johnny Depp and Amber Heard reach divorce settlement

Amber alleged Johnny threw a phone at her during an argument and insisted there were other instances where he had been violent towards her but she filed court papers to dismiss her domestic violence case against the actor once they agreed on a reported seven-million-dollar settlement. The filing came less than a week after “The Danish Girl” actress filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences, following 15 months of marriage.

Under Californian law, evidence brought by either party into the legal case can be released to the press – which is why we have since seen very disturbing pictures of Amber Heard‘s bruised face, her smashed up apartment and – recently – a video (below) of a drunk Depp ranting to Heard “You want to see insane?”

On Tuesday – the same day their settlement was made public – KIIS FM host Jackie “O” Henderson revealed that crew members from Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales told her the now-exes constant fighting made the film a “nightmare” to work on!

“Our relationship was intensely passionate and at times volatile, but always bound by love”, reads the couple’s joint statement, sent to USA TODAY. There was never intent of physical or emotional harm. “Amber will be donating financial proceeds from the divorce to a charity”, the statement concluded.

“Amber wishes the best for Johnny in the future”, the statement said, without a corresponding message of support from Depp for the actress. “I live in fear that Johnny will return … unannounced to terrorise me, physically and emotionally”.

Depp had been accusing Heard of having an affair with 61-year-old Billy Bob Thorton.

We were pleased with Amber getting all that money till we discovered she had to give it all away.

A spokeswoman for Los Angeles Superior Court confirmed the dismissal of the temporary restraining order against Johnny had been filed.

A hearing on the case had been scheduled to begin Wednesday.

Johnny and Amber, who have no children together, married in February a year ago after meeting on the set of 2011 film The Rum Diary.

They recorded a 40-second apology as part of a deal with prosecutors which allowed Amber to avoid a conviction.
