Just for the record, as far as the general public knows, Paula Patton and Robin Thicke are not back together.
Unfortunately, Nicki couldn’t be with Robin for his “Back Together” TV debut performance on “GMA” this morning so Paula Patton’s ex was forced to perform a “solo” version of his new single. It’s no “Blurred Lines“, but we think that’s probably for the best. With the help of an uptempo beat, and the words, “You used your love to tear me apart/ now [bleep] me back together” he’s ready to move on.
The 38-year-old singer, who has four-year-old son Julian with the “About Last Night” actress, said: “I just finally took a few months off or more”.
Thicke, the son of “Growing Pains” star Alan Thicke, says he coped with the divorce and the lawsuit by taking time off and going on a “magical trip” with his son, Julian, and mom, the singer Gloria Loring.
“I started songwriting and producing and singing professionally when I was 16, and I never really stopped until last year”, Robin told Good Morning America during an appearance on the show on Wednesday.
Robin also revealed that he turned to his parents while going through his painful divorce, “I spent a lot of time with my parents even, talking with them and getting their advice”. “Then I took some time off to just be with my son and my family and it helps you gain perspective on what’s important in life”.

‘It’s more about getting yourself back together, ‘ Robin said of the tune’s meaning. Grammy nominee Thicke, 38, left no stone unturned to get her back by releasing the album “Paula” which had a not so cryptic message in the lead single “Get Her Back”.
