Corbyn to set out plans to renationalise railways
The five challenged the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) in the High Court after a “freeze date” was imposed, excluding around 130,000 new members from taking part in the vote between incumbent leader Jeremy Corbyn and challenger Owen Smith. If someone has developed their politics to be members of the Labour party, even though they were once members of the Lib Dems, or Greens or something, fine.

A leading Jewish donor to Britain’s Labour Party likens Jeremy Corbyn’s inner circle to Nazi storm troopers in a scathing column published by Mail Online on Sunday, ahead of a party leadership contest next month. “I’d like to see them not standing on platforms and encouraging the sort of action where crowds of people turn up outside MPs offices and stop what is actually our job”.
The party’s establishment never wanted Trump as their candidate but their registered supporters voted for him in the presidential primaries.
The Labour party is in turmoil amid an attempt to unseat Corbyn. “This is the reason so many people are fed up with Labour politicians”.
JEREMY Corbyn has directly attacked his elected deputy Tom Watson over his claims that “Trotsky entryists” are manipulating young party members to boost support for the Labour leader.
In a letter to the leader, Ms Lewell-Buck said: “I am appalled at what is happening to our party and the way in which you have been treated by some in the Parliamentary Labour Party not just recently, but since your election”. It’s all really overblown.
She added: “Yesterday’s meeting marked a milestone in the development of the Labour Party in Northern Ireland, and I am proud that the debate was conducted in such a collegiate atmosphere”.
Corbyn has more than doubled his support among local parties since the 2015 contest, though there were four candidates then rather than two.
Speaking to the BBC Saturday, Corbyn went no further than to lament that the Court of Appeal had “denied those members a vote in this election, which I think is very sad”.
That said, there’s better polling news for Labour this week, as YouGov put them seven points behind the Conservatives. It’s definitely Jeremy Corbyn that made me want to get involved.
“I have to make a similar journey every week and I certainly don’t paint myself as some kind of martyr for the cause”, he told PoliticsHome. I’ve just had my first child and have other things to think about.
Corbyn spoke to that mood at the rally on Monday.
