Michael Phelps’ 28 Olympic Medals Weigh More Than His Son
Phelps added another half-dozen medals to his collection in the 2016 Games, running his total to 28 – 23 of which are gold.

“I have a feeling it’s not”, Lauer said. Or, you know, somewhere in a secret spot unbeknownst to many, because the man also simply won’t say where.
It might not be the most common question you ask a new parent but it’s one U.S.A swimmer Michael Phelps knows the answer to. “And I can’t say that about London … this was the way I wanted to hang up my suit four years ago”. So, just how many gold medals did he win?
Among the young swimmers Phelps will be supporting at the next Olympics is Katie Ledecky, already an icon herself at the age of 19 with five gold medals and three world records to her name.
Phelps said Sunday that the 2016 Olympics helped him achieve “closure”.
Anthony has broken Michael Phelps’ record as the oldest Olympic individual swimming gold medalist just a couple of days after Phelps earned it by winning the men’s 200 m butterfly.
But if there’s one great leveller in the swimming pool, one thing that brings the disgustingly fit professional, the four-year-old child and the stamina-challenged everyman together, it’s that we all piss in the water from time to time.
The five-time Olympian announced his retirement on Monday, insisting, “Done, done, done – and this time I meant it”.
Flashing a big smile throughout the session, Ledecky, who lives the Washington suburb of Bethesda, Maryland, has remained an amateur swimmer, and not long after she returns from Rio she will head off for college at Stanford University in California.
“You’re going to get the same response here [as in 2012] – done, done, done”. Australia and Hungary were a distant second with three gold medals each.
Also, the Jamaican house in the Olympic Village threw a killer party the other night. In Athens, he claimed six gold and two bronze medals. The U.S. women’s soccer team failed to defend its seat at the top of the ranks in the soccer world as Team USA women were eliminated by Sweden in the shootout of their Friday afternoon game.
