Cesc Fabregas has Blues future says Antonio Conte

Rodriguez would be a likely candidate to be shown the door should Zidane decide to pursue a move for Fabregas.

Per Twomey, the Italian added that any player could be dropped or find himself in the starting XI, though, hinting there is still a future for the former Barcelona and Arsenal midfielder at Stamford Bridge.

Fabregas, 29, has been left in limbo after sitting on the bench for Monday night’s Premier League win over West Ham United, prompting speculation that he could be on the way out of West London before the close of the summer transfer window. This decision has sparked rumours that Fabregas does not seem to have a future under the new manager and is looking for a move in the coming days.

Farbregas’ agent has held talks with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez over a possible move to the Bernabeu, while Seria A holder Juventus are also set to have a strong interest in the player. “You have to work and that’s all I want from the players”.

“That can happen that Fabregas is not in the starting XI, but it can happen for all the players”.

“To put another player in there makes it hard”.

“It’s important to always see the right attitude because we must fight this season”.

“We’ll wait until August 31 but I don’t think anyone is going to come”. When a coach takes this decision there is always a reason but I prefer to keep this to myself.

Fabregas endured a torrid 2015-16 campaign during his second season at Chelsea, and mid-way through the season was forced to deny he was behind a dressing room revolt against Jose Mourinho – who was sacked last December after the Blues lost nine of their opening 16 league games. I’m happy with the squad, the players I have and we won the European Cup with these players.
