Obama pauses vacation to boost Clinton’s coffers
Barack Obama isn’t going to try and handle the terrible race relations in America, but he is going to take the time to headline a Democratic Party and fundraiser tonight on Martha’s Vineyard.

“She’s not always the flashiest; she’s not always the person who’s going to give you the big stem-winder”, Obama said.
Democrats Hank Goldberg and his wife, Carol Brown Goldberg, hosted the event at their home in Chilmark, the same town where the president is renting a vacation home.
He’s warned 60 guests at the $US10,000-a-head fundraiser [NZ$13,837] at his private home on the island to not grow too confident about the Democrats prospects for the White House, despite Clinton’s strong position in the race.
Tickets cost up to $33,400, party officials said, with the money going to Clinton’s campaign, the Democratic National Committee and state parties across the country.
On Sunday, after Mr Obama had played golf for about five hours, a small group of reporters that accompanies the President in public, was released for dinner but told to reassemble later.
Though he went after the GOP nominee, the president said he’s tired of the topic of Trump.
Mr. Obama has been vacationing on Martha’s Vineyard with the first family since last week and will return to Washington next week.
Obama pointedly did not mention Donald Trump, Clinton’s Republican opponent, by name and said he’s exhausted of talking about the NY businessman he earlier this month dismissed as “unfit to serve”. “And you notice I haven’t said much about her opponent”.
He has repeatedly blasted Trump for the Republican nominee’s comments on a myriad of issues and took a break from his vacation to stress that Democrats can not be complacent with 83 days to go until the election.
Clinton did not join Obama at the fundraiser.

Clinton, who will be making her first campaign appearance with Vice President Joe Biden in his hometown of Scranton, Pennsylvania, is not expected to appear with Obama on Monday.
