Six dead in plane crash, left from Kissimmee

Northrop Mayor Bobby Hendron, appearing at a joint news conference with Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox, told reporters firefighters reached the crash within three minutes, but were unable to save the six people on board.

Tuscaloosa police tell HottyToddy.com the plane was returning from a seminar in Kissimmee, Fla and crashed around 11:20 a.m. this morning behind the farmer’s market in Northport, Alabama.

The victims were three married couples flying home to Oxford, Mississippi, from a dental conference in Kissimmee, Florida.

Farese, along with his wife Dr. Lea Farese, Dr. Michael Perry, Kim Perry, Dr. Austin Poole and Angie Poole all died in the crash.

The paper identified the other victims as dentist Michael Perry and his wife, Kim, an Oxford dentist and nurse practitioner who worked at the University of Mississippi. The crash happened about 1,000 feet short of that runway.

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash with the assistance of the FAA.

Dr. Austin Poole and his wife, Angie, leave behind five children. Dr. Perry has five dental practices located in Memphis, Collierville, Bartlett, Oxford, and Southaven. The couple were from Oxford and were dentists at Farese Family Dental.

The small plane crashed in a park near the Alabama Airport where it was expected to land, investigators said. The couple has three children who were not on the plane. The couple has three children.

Michael Perry also attended the MS dentistry school and served as a mentor to first- and second-year dental students. The youngest started kindergarten this week, the newspaper said. She said it was not immediately clear if Tuscaloosa was meant to be a planned stop before the small aircraft developed engine problems.
