With the floor exercise closing the artistic gymnastics portion of the Rio Olympics, the US women’s gymnastics team finished with nine medals, well beyond any other country. They combined to help the United States win the women’s team all-around.

OOOOOH HOT FLIPPING DAYUM do I have some juicy scoop for all of my Zac Efron-Simone Biles fanatics out there.
U.S. triple jumpers Christian Taylor and Will Claye repeated their 1-2 finish from London.
The 32-year-old track cyclist took silver behind Trott in the women’s omnium Tuesday, matching the medal she helped the US win in the team sprint event earlier in the Games.
United States’ Simone Biles, gold medal victor, and silver medallist and compatriot Aly Raisman, left, wave after final results for floor routine during the artistic gymnastics women’s apparatus final at the 2016 Summer Olym. The 19-year-old Biles wrapped up ten days of incredible gymnastics with her trademark dominant display of acrobatics and tumbling on the floor in the Rio Olympic Arena.

“I feel really good at 22 and I can’t wait to see what is to come”, Raisman said after scoring a silver medal in the all-around competition. “I don’t know. It’s insane …”
“It’s very insane. To think what I’ve done, it’s been an awesome experience and I don’t think I could be more proud of myself”, said the team, all-around, vault and floor champion.
Judging by her picture and video-filled Twitter feed, Biles was juuuust a little excited about it. He was initially named an alternate to the Olympic team before filling in when John Orozco went down with an injury.
Britain’s Amy Tinkler finished third in 14.933 points.
After a bronze and silver at the last two Olympics, flamboyant showman Fabian Hambuechen was finally leaping with joy as he became the first German gymnast in 20 years to strike gold with an electrifying routine on the horizontal bar.
“It’s kind of scary with this public eye being on me all the time”, Biles said.
It was not just those who were standing on the top of the podium who were celebrating at the Rio Games on Tuesday.

Levya came out to take his second silver behind 28-year-old Hambuechen with Britain’s Nile Wilson taking bronze (15.466). After that, who knows? It had been decreed that she would be the first woman to complete a clean sweep of Olympic titles here; in the end, her performances on bars and beam brought whispered reminders of her own mortality.
