Breitbart’s Stephen K Bannon Appointed CEO in Trump Campaign Shake Up

Bannon, in phone calls and meetings, has been urging Trump for months to not mount a fall campaign that makes Republican donors and officials comfortable, the aides said.

The billionaire property mogul has named Stephen Bannon, of the conservative Breitbart News website, as chief executive officer and promoted pollster Kellyanne Conway to campaign manager. Trump has shown himself disinclined to cooperate with advisers’ recommendations, however.

Trump tells The Associated Press that he’s known both people for a long time. “Our country can not afford four more years of the failed Obama-Clinton policies which have endangered our financial and physical security”.

Paul Manafort, Trump’s controversial campaign chairman, will retain his title, but it is unclear if his role will change.

“It is imperative we continue to expand our team with top-tier talent”, Manafort said in the news release.

Although Mr Manafort stays in his job, analysts say the new appointments represent a demotion.

Bannon’s name soon came up. So much for the idea of getting money out of politics. The right-wing media has been split, with sites such as RedState lining up to support Texas Sen. By hiring Bannon, he hopes to return to a more “Let Trump be Trump” style of campaign that he had under Corey Lewandowski, who was sacked from the position of campaign manager two months ago, according to CNN.

Trump’s campaign advisers have sought to refocus him, including through a pair of scripted policy speeches on the economy and terrorism that offered a stark contrast to Trump’s freewheeling style.

Fields ultimately resigned. Editor at large Ben Shapiro and two other staffers also left in protest.

Conway will focus on “messaging”, regularly travelling with Trump while also working closely with Manafort and Bannon, the statement said. Breitbart went out of its way to bolster the Trump campaign’s version of events, at the expense of its own reporter.

Several people in touch with Trump or his top political advisers in recent days said they had heard a shake-up was possible.

Bannon has never run a political campaign.

Trump, whose campaign is built on his persona as a victor, said several times Wednesday that the campaign was “doing well”, and said his speech hours earlier in Wisconsin Tuesday was well-received.

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, who has slipped in the polls in recent weeks, has shaken up his campaign again.

“Mr. Trump doesn’t trust him anymore”.

The announcement came as Trump’s campaign signaled it would begin airing television commercials in swing states such as Florida, Pennsylvania, Ohio and North Carolina, NPR reported. Thus far, Trump has resisted. “It manifests itself”, the source said.

The New York Times detailed donations flowing to the Clinton Foundation as a uranium deal involving Russian Federation was being approved.

Bloomberg News has a good look at Bannon, its reporter having spent time with him a year ago just as the wild Republican primary season was heating up.

Mr Trump has seen his poll ratings slip since the party conventions last month.

The poll also found Clinton to be vulnerable on her e-mail practices and her family foundation’s practices when she was secretary of state.

As has been remarked before, Trump judges’ people’s character and competence exclusively by how nice they are to him.
