Hertha Berlin’s coach Pal Dardai has told Bild that Gnabry meets their requirements and they are now trying to sign him on a loan deal for the club.

Speaking ahead of the clash against Nigeria, Gnabry, who is the tournament’s top scorer with six goals, praised his side’s flawless performance against Portugal.

The report claims his displays have caught the eye of several clubs back home, with Hertha Berlin the first to publicly declare their interest.

“Serge exactly meets our search parameters”, Dardai is quoted as saying.

However, Gnabry’s contract at Arsenal is due to expire in June 2017 and he would likely need to sign an extension before being allowed to leave on loan.
