‘Fuller House’ Has ‘Given Up’ on Olsen Twins Cameo, Jodie Sweetin Says

Sweetin broke the news to Entertainment Tonight at the Kuba and the Two Strings premiere on August 15, that the cast of Netflix’s Fuller House has given up hope for a Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen appearance on the hit series.

“We’ve tried everything”, Sweetin told Entertainment Tonight, referring to the actresses-turned-fashion moguls who played her little sister Michelle on Full House. “I think we’ve kind of given up”.

“Fuller House” Season 2 is underway! But we applaud the effort, truly, because the only thing we would have liked to see more in Season 2 is a normally serious-faced Olsen twin saying, “You got it, dude” for the cameras again. Twenty-one years later, Netflix’s 13-episode first season, which debuted earlier this year, centers on recently widowed D.J. Tanner-Fuller (Candace Cameron Bure) moving back into her childhood home in San Francisco. “A lot of people that have been talked about for, like, 30 years are going to be on the show”, Sweetin said.

Fans have been optimistic about an Olsen twin cameo since the nostalgia-packed show hit the steaming service in February. “Its going to be a lot of fun”, she said.

The reason the Olsen twins have been reluctant to participate in the Full House reboot is twofold: they haven’t acted in years and they’re focused on their fashion careers.
