QB Adams clears hurdle to join Oregon
Now, they can finally be put to rest.

Adams needed to pass the math test Thursday in order to be allowed to transfer to the Ducks.
Adams, who walked at EWU’s graduation ceremony, also announced the news with a simple message on his Instagram account: “Thank God”.
The transfer has been held up for most of the summer leading up to today’s test, and Adams missed the first few days of Oregon’s training camp. To this point, Helfrich has refused to discuss any player not on Oregon’s roster, leaving the discussion of the Ducks’ quarterback situation vague. He passed for more than 10,000 yards in his EWU career, including 110 touchdown passes to only 35 interceptions.
After committing to the Vikings, the dynamic quarterback changed his mind on signing day and instead inked his National Letter of Intent with Eastern Washington.
He added the last time he texted Vernon was last week, saying he didn’t want to add any extra pressure before he took his final. He will compete for the starting nod with Jeff Lockie, Mariota’s backup last season. This is coming right after he posted another picture calling out all of his “haters” and that he “never wanted all of this attention”.
Although Adams needs to make up for lost time in terms of learning the Ducks offense and building a rapport with his new teammates, Oregon doesn’t start the season until September 5, when it coincidentally plays Eastern Washington.

Despite that, according to the Oregonian, Adams, who hopes to join practice on Friday, has been living in Eugene since June and has had an Oregon playbook to study. The Ducks play Washington in October and Oregon State in November this season. I’m the first one in my family to earn a degree.
