Amber Heard withdraws restraining order against Johnny Depp

AMBER Heard‘s legal team has retracted a statement they released shortly after the actress reached a £5million divorce settlement with Johnny Depp. While admitting that their relationship had been passionate and volatile at times, the two claimed neither party has made accusations for financial gain.

As for comments on the aspect of their split that featured allegations that Depp had subjected Heard to domestic violence outbursts throughout their relationship, the statement also emphasized that she wished “the best” for her ex-husband in the future.

The situation seems reminiscent of Oksana Grigorieva’s settlement with ex Mel Gibson in which the Russian singer-songwriter lost $500,000 of her $750,000 awarded money after she appeared on Howard Stern’s radio show in 2013.

Spector said: “The statement is untrue and we retract it, without qualification. Amber will be donating financial proceeds from the divorce to a charity”, they said. “We regret the error and apologise to Johnny Depp”. “There will be no further public statements about this matter”.

Settled: Amber had initially accused Johnny of domestic assault after they split in May, and had been granted a restraining order.

Court papers filed by Heard claim that Depp took his bloody finger, dipped it in blue paint and wrote a message on a mirror, accusing his then wife of cheating on him with co-star Billy Bob Thornton. Mindel believes that the outcome leaves both Johnny and Amber satisfied – well, sort of.

The agreement came just one day after it was claimed Johnny cut off his fingertip in a fit of rage in March 2015 after the couple had a huge argument at a villa in Australia.

It was alleged that during the row, Johnny ‘smashed several bottles and windows and also slammed a plastic phone against the wall unit.’ Amber alleged that one of the items cut his finger.

“Amber was happy to settle because she wanted everything to be over”. Around the time the actor was spotted sporting a bandaged hand and reportedly flew back to the United States from Australia in March, 2015 for treatment.
