“We believe that Donald Trump’s divisiveness, recklessness, incompetence, and record-breaking unpopularity risk turning this election into a Democratic landslide, and only the immediate shift of all available RNC resources to vulnerable Senate and House races will prevent the GOP from drowning with a Trump-emblazoned anchor around its neck”, the letter says.

Trump is also expected to propose creating a new, ideological test for admission to the country that would assess a candidate’s stances on issues such as religious freedom, gender equality and gay rights.

Adar is active on the Facebook group, “Trump White and Blue”, which has almost 9,000 Israeli and American followers.

Marc Zell, co-chairman of Republicans Overseas Israel, said about 100,000 Israelis voted in the last presidential election, with some 85 percent going Republican. Katsman said he hopes the trend continues. “No matter how much the elite media tries to manipulate his image, Trump understands the biggest problem in the region – Iran”, Pressman said. Meanwhile, the official GOP Twitter account, a Politico reader pointed out Monday, hasn’t mentioned Trump or used the campaign’s hashtag #TrumpPence since July 28th.
