The wrong paint was applied to the Hall of Fame logo at midfield and in the end zones of Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium at Canton, Ohio.

The game was scheduled to start at 8 p.m. between Green Bay and Indianapolis. The NFL is not connected with the Pro Football Hall of Fame, but it has supported it through this game and other means and promotes the event as its official opening of the football season.
