Ellen Degeneres answers to ‘racist’ accusations after Usain Bolt tweet is criticised

TV personality Ellen DeGeneres got more controversy than she bargained for after posting a tongue-in-cheek image on Twitter, lauding Usain Bolt’s lightning-fast speed.

Bolt is now just two races away from completing the “triple triple” and winning three consecutive Olympic gold medals in the 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay. De Grasse’s athletic pedigree is impeccable. They hugged and chatted while draped in their country’s flags after the 100-meter dash, which Bolt won and de Grasse placed third in this week.

Race time tonight is 9:30 PM. That honor went to Damian Warner of Canada, who beat Eaton in a 100-meter heat and set an Olympic decathlon best 10.30 seconds in the process. Bolt looked to ease off the gas well before the finish line – as he often does – but much to his surprise, had to get the lead out again when de Grasse kept on accelerating.

Bolt and De Grasse were palling around after the 100m final, too, suggesting a warmth between the pair that Bolt wouldn’t have with United States rival Justin Gatlin (who failed to make the 200m final, incidentally). “My coach told me to race him to the line, try and tire him for tomorrow’s final”.

“That was really unnecessary”, Bolt said.

Bolt is the 200m world record holder with a time of 19.19 seconds.

“I’ll party with Prince Harry and teach him the running man”, he said. This time, the Jamaican sprinter will not have to deal with American Justin Gatlin, so often his main challenger. “I’ll be ready. If he breaks that world record, I’m definitely going to go with him”.

“As well as making his millions from his incredible success on the running track, Bolt has made a considerable amount of money from sponsorship’s and endorsements”, The Gazette Review reported earlier this week.
