Thor’s Natalie Portman Believes She’s ‘Done’ With Marvel

I mean I don’t know if maybe one day they’ll ask for an avengers 7 or whatever I have no idea, but um, but as far as I know I’m done. Given that it’s completely set in space (and Foster is a human), it’s understandable that her character realistically wouldn’t show up in Ragnarok, but considering that Thor will be seen in further Avengers movies (and will therefore have to return to Earth at some point), it’s disappointing that hers and Thor’s relationship looks like it’ll be simply be glossed over.

A string of road closures are planned from Saturday to the end of the week as Thor: Ragnarok production makes the trip up the M1 from its Gold Coast base.

It’s always been suspected that we wouldn’t see Portman within the hallowed walls of the Marvel Universe any time soon, especially after it was confirmed that she wouldn’t feature in “Thor: Ragnarok”, where she’s been replaced by Tessa Thompson and Cate Blanchett.

Portman was a critical part of why the first two Thor films were so well received, as she played a ideal opposite to Chris Hemsworth’s Asgardian warrior. “But, um, but as far as I know I’m done”. She was then mentioned in 2015’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron”. It was a great thing to be a part of.

Australian heartthrob Chris Hemsworth is starring in the movie, along with Mark Ruffalo, Cate Blanchett and Tom Hiddleston.

It is also all-change in the director’s chair as Taika Waititi follows in the footsteps of Kenneth Branagh and Alan Taylor.

It is not clear when filming is due but “Thor: Ragnarok” is reportedly due for a November 2017 release in the US. According to the Oscar-winning actress, she’s “done” with the Marvel universe. There’s also Alex Garland’s Annihilation, The Death and Life of John F. Donovan and directorial debut A Tale of Love and Darkness, which finally bows in United States theaters this week.
