The curved glass of the Galaxy S7 Edge has made its way onto the new Note, helping the larger work-ready phone stay sleek and easier to hold and use.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is finally here. Here in the United States, the Note 7 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and a 3,500mAh battery. There’s a massive 3,500 mAh battery to make sure there’s enough juice for the phablet. It will have curved edges – a well-liked feature limited to a special “Edge” model before.

The Note 7 also includes a number of the same specs found in Samsung’s Galaxy S7 range including the IP68 rating which means the device will survive being submerged water up to 1.5 metres in depth for 30 minutes.

The enhanced Galaxy Note7 S Pen is more than just a writing tool – it is the gateway to getting more done efficiently and accurately. There’s also a fingerprint scanner, a 12MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing one, plus of course a similar waterproof design, with a glass back and metal frame. The Galaxy Note 7 is coming on August 19. Samsung wanted the stylus to provide a more-natural writing experience, so they designed it to feel like a 0.7mm ballpoint pen.

It also features an iris scanner that scans your eyes as a kind of biometric fingerprint.

Embedded below you’ll find the latest drop test involving the Samsung Galaxy S7 and the iPhone 6s.

The Note 7 is water resistant and has support for microSD cards, both of which were not available in Note 5.
