India eye win in hockey series decider against Spain today
Ramandeep Singh (17th) and Akashdeep Singh (33rd) scored through field efforts to register the win for India.

Spain had the first shot at goal in the second quarter when they were awarded a penalty corner but Sreejesh deflected stood like a rock in front of the Indian goal to deny the hosts.
In the first match, Spain had beaten India 4-1, but the visitors bounced back to win the second match 2-1. As no further goals were scored in the rest of the session, the first half ended in favour of India at 1-0. In the third quarter, both the teams entered the field with different strategies and game-plans to tackle each other. After few minutes, Spain was awarded a penalty corner but the Indian goalkeeper PR Sreejesh deflected the ball and it went wide. India’s third and last encounter against Spain will be played tomorrow. For Spain, Ricardo Santana (25th) and Xavier Lleonart (49th) scored the goals. India again gained the lead for the second time in the match through Akashdeep Singh just before the end of the quarter. After conceding the goal, India counter-attacked and that took the Spaniards by surprise. In the 45th minute, Akashdeep Singh sneaked into the Spanish circle and managed to dribble-past the defenders before finding the net with a sizzling hit. Moments later, he kept his cool to score another goal in the 50th minute, which gave India a 4-2 lead.
In the fourth quarter, Spain put an extra player in their attacking line up which allowed them to put the Indian defence under pressure.

For the upcoming World League Final this is a preparatory tour which will be held in India in November 2015.
