Robin Williams’ daughter has discussed how she has attempted to cope with her father’s passing, speaking in a new interview.

“And so I just kept going, OK, well, today Im going to get up and love what I do”. And tomorrow I’m going to wake up and be happy and love what I do. Chelsea Handler wanted to know what the silver lining was after the tragedy and Williams told her that she didn’t really grow up in the spotlight so she continued to tell herself that she would wake up every day and love what she did. “Because that’s all you can do”.

Williams said all you can do is move forward and for awhile no one would let her do anything.

The 27-year-old daughter of the Mrs. Doubtfire star didn’t mince words as she sat down for a chat airing on Thursday on Chelsea Handler’s new Netflix talk-show Chelsea. “So, now I’m doing a lot more of that”. She also has a leading role in the series “Dead of Summer” on Freeform. And that’s what hummingbirds always meant to me’.

“I speak openly about it because I think there are a lot of people who don’t hear anyone saying it enough, or if they do they hear them, getting a lot of crap for it and I don’t really take s**t”, she said as the audience clapped. JoJo’s father died past year, and she credits Williams and her family as a large part of her support system. “Somehow, you sometimes get to a really lovely place because of something tragic that happened”.
