Central Oregon fire says the fire is slowing down with cooler temperatures as of about 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Sunriver, Ore. – There is an active forest fire 1.5 miles west of Sunriver, Oregon. Those included dozers, engines, hand crews, water tenders, helicopters and air tankers.

The cause of the fire is not known. Some river floaters also were being contacted to get out of the water and avoid the area where helicopters were dipping for water.
A level one evacuation was issued for Fall River Fish Hatchery and surrounding areas.

The smoke could be seen from southwest Bend as it drifted north over the city. Deputies are asking people to stay away from the area.
