Trump Tower Climber Waited for Parents’ Vacation to Pull Stunt: Prosecutors

According to an assistant district attorney, Stephen Rogata waited until his parents left town before driving to New York City ahead of his scheduled climb on August 10.

A man caught trying to scale Trump Tower in NY last week is now facing charges.

Using a contraption made up of five suction cups, he scaled the 68-story building for over two hours before responding officers yanked him inside after knocking out a full window pane on the 21st floor. She says her client is receiving needed mental health treatment.

Rogata is facing charges that include reckless endangerment and tresspassing, according to The Washington Post, all of the charges are misdemeanors.

Rogata’s attorney called the episode “profoundly stupid”.
