Virginia Poll Shows Trump Behind Romney’s 2012 Showing in Key Groups

Donald Trump made a pitch to African-American voters on Tuesday, saying Democrats had “betrayed” them and pledged he would revitalize impoverished urban communities. A longtime Republican strategist and pollster, she has close ties to Trump’s running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence.

Trump also stated that the era of nation building should come to an end as he unveiled a blueprint for defeating global terrorism in partnership with North Atlantic Treaty Organisation and Middle East allies.

Hillary Clinton got a major bounce from the Democratic National Convention. According to the poll, voters in Texas under 65 prefer Clinton by a 49-45 percent margin. She argues that Trump’s family could save billions through his proposal to eliminate the estate tax.

Unlike his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton, Trump did not address African-Americans frustrations with the racially disproportionate effects of law enforcement. Turning to the Olympic team, she said, “Team USA is showing the world what this country stands for”. “In addition, to scrape out all members of the sympathisers of terrorist groups, we must also screen out any hostile attitude towards our country or its principles, or who believed Sharia law should supplant American law”, he said. If Clinton doesn’t win, Dems need to pick up five seats.

Last week, 50 former Republican national security officials, including a former Central Intelligence Agency director, called Trump unqualified to lead and said he would be “the most reckless president in American history”.
