Movistar Yamaha MotoGP Bring the Heat to Brno
Andrea Iannone claimed the Italian manufacturer’s first MotoGP victory since 2010 in Austria, heading up a one-two at the Red Bull Ring from Andrea Dovizioso to raise expectations that the Desmosedici machines will be fighting regularly at the front.

“[As for] Ducati, we will see here if they can confirm this level of Austria, and if it will be a big help for me or if they can take a lot of points”.
Honda rider Marquez is in the enviable position of being able to finish second in each of the eight remaining rounds on the calendar and still be guaranteed a third premier class crown, having scored in every race while main rivals Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi have been less consistent. After three races to forget, #99 won the Yamaha derby, crossing the line just ahead of his team-mate: “I think I achieved a great result in Austria at the end of a hard period – he admitted – so I’m pleased we were on the podium”.
In those races, Dovizioso kept Lorenzo off the podium while Iannone did the same to Rossi at Phillip Island, so the loss of four points on each occasion was negated in their title battle.
“We need to do something extra, to go faster, but always to take points – especially think race by race, try to do the maximum”.
“I think if we work well at the gym and with the masseurs, it will be fixed”.
“It was very important because two races without any good results is a lot and I needed this good result to feel again strong”.
“Brno is a great track where I won for the first time, but the last few years I wasn’t strong enough so I’m very curious to understand if this year I can be more competitive”, said the nine-time world champion. “I want to get back on track”. “It doesn’t matter how you get it but the one who gets more points will be the champion”, said the Movistar Yamaha rider.

Andrea Iannone believes that the Brno circuit could be a good track his Ducati this weekend. Past year I finished fourth despite a technical problem but now we have a good pace for fighting for the podium at every round.
