Ronald Koeman: ‘Oumar Niasse needs to leave Everton’

It doesn’t always work that way, though, despite what Ireland fans may have hoped for Aiden McGeady.

“We made a fast decision about Niasse, we made a fast decision about McGeady”.

“It will be very hard for them to be part of the team because we have a big squad.

If [Niasse] likes to play football he needs to leave”.

Out-of-favour Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart has been linked with Everton.

Koeman, however, refused to discuss whether the rumours had substance and suggested he is happy enough with the goalkeepers at his disposal.

Bolasie could just be the tip of the iceberg and here at FootballFanCast we think this FIVE could be at Goodison Park in the near future… Today, it’s Joe Hart, tomorrow, it’s another.

“I prefer not to talk about players under contract at teams other than Everton”. “I have been like “no, I’m kind of settled where I am”, but I finally took the step and I’m looking forward to it”.

“We have a lot of young players, too, and we don’t want to stop their development”.

“Really what we need we will bring into the team”.

Koeman has already added Maarten Stekelenburg to his ranks this summer to challenge Joel Robles for the honour of being the Blues’ number-one. “It’s all about a decision we need to make”. Niasse was also previously offered as a makeweight to Crystal Palace in the £25m deal for Yannick Bolasie. “We will decide if he starts or is on the bench”.

“He can be very important for us”. He is physically strong is fast and has a good mentality.

Niasse failed to find the back of the net in the Premier League for Everton last season.

Bolasie had a full pre-season with Palace and played last weekend, coincidentally against the Baggies, as a substitute but Williams returned late from Euro2016 and Lukaku is recovering from the gash to his heel he suffered in the friendly against Espanyol.
