Donald Trump to Propose Ideological Tests for Immigrants

“Incident after incident proves again and again, Hillary Clinton lacks the judgment, as said by Bernie Sanders, stability, and temperament, and the moral character, to lead our nation”, Trump said of the Democratic presidential nominee. “All our actions should be oriented around this, and any country that shares this goal will be our ally”.

The adviser continued, “We have no reason to bring someone into our country who is going to harbor that hostility”.

Having boasted past year that his approval ratings spiked after terror attacks, Trump sought on Monday to harness and intensify a climate of fear and vengeance, and then pin its causes on the current president and his former secretary of state.

“With one episode of bad judgement after another, Hillary Clinton’s bad policies launched ISIS onto the world stage”, Trump said.

Trump mostly delivered broad outlines for his ideas on fighting terrorism, many of which he has mentioned before, rather than specific policy proposals. Trump is also expected to declare that the country is locked in “ideological conflict” with “radical Islam”. The night before, Mr. Trump’s adviser, Paul Manafort, was accused of taking millions of dollars from Russian backers in Ukraine.

Mike Pence said Donald Trump was being “serious” when he spoke this week about President Barack Obama being the “founder” of ISIS, saying that the GOP nominee was “getting people’s attention”.

Trump spent much of the speech building a case that Obama and Clinton are to blame for the creation of the terror group that has roiled the Middle East and carried out attacks in the West.

Biden called Trump’s views “dangerous” and “un-American”.

Immigration has been a major talking point throughout Trump’s campaign, including his proposed border wall and Muslim immigration ban.

Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump on Monday unveiled his anti-terrorism plan, saying he would implement “extreme vetting” of immigrants as one way to protect the United States and suspend immigration from certain countries. This appears to be the candidate’s latest version of his controversial blanket travel ban on all Muslims entering the US.

Trump is also expected to propose creating a new, ideological test for admission to the country that would assess a candidate’s stances on issues like religious freedom, gender equality and gay rights.

Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid mocked Trump over his call for an immigration test, saying the NY businessman should take it himself. “He would nearly certainly fail, given his general ignorance and weak grasp of basic facts about American history, principles, and functioning of our government”. “In Europe, we have seen the same carnage and bloodshed”, Trump said Monday during a policy speech in Youngstown, Ohio, on his plans to defeat ISIS.

Well, the Associated Press, called Trump’s claims patently false. Critics jumped on Trump’s statement that “Second Amendment people” might have to deal with the prospect of a Clinton presidency, calling it an incitement to violence.

Campaigning with Clinton in Pennsylvania on Monday, Vice President Biden said that “Trump is already making our country less safe” by alienating Muslim allies and inflaming anti-American sentiment.

The billionaire lowered his rhetoric, stating that he is willing to work with Muslim communities and countries as long as they’re moderate.

“If we had controlled the oil like I said we should, we could have prevented the rise of ISIS in Iraq, both by cutting off a major source of funding and through the presence of USA forces necessary to safeguard the oil and vital infrastructure products necessary for us to have the oil”.
