“We’re going to sharpen the message”.

Conway filled the vacant position on August 17 which was previously held by newly-hired CNN political commentator Corey Lewandowski.

“There is no new Donald Trump”, Clinton said.

“Here’s the dilemma. There are going to be some people who vote for Donald Trump”, said Miringoff, creating a challenge for Republican candidates who oppose him.

Trump also boasted about his popularity with police. “And you are going to see more of that”.

He is widely regarded as the kind of confrontational, bare-knuckle brawler Trump once had in Corey Lewandowski, who was sacked from the campaign in June and replaced with Manafort, but he has no prior experience running a campaign. Three times, Hassan evaded direct the interviewer’s questions about whether her party’s presidential nominee is honest or trustworthy.

“I think he’s having a great week, giving these back-to-back speeches on how to defeat radical Islamic terrorism”, Conway said Wednesday.

The Republican White House nominee, who is tanking in key swing states, hired a conservative news executive once dubbed “the most unsafe political operative in America” as his campaign CEO and promoted a leading Republican strategist to campaign manager.

Conway’s promotion was announced alongside the hiring of Breitbart executive Stephen K. Bannon, who she said will work on the big-picture strategy for the campaign.

In addition to Bannon, Republican pollster Kellyanne Conway filled the campaign manager position left vacant since Trump fired his former campaign chief nearly two months ago.

Republican Donald Trump has begun reserving television air time for the first time in the general election.

As the New York Times notes, Trump’s choice of Bannon was “a defiant rejection of efforts by longtime Republican hands to wean him from the bombast and racially charged speech”.

He drew the attention of conservative media with his documentary about Sarah Palin, the former Alaska governor who was John McCain’s running mate in the 2008 election, which helped make him a frequent guest on Fox News.

He offered no further explanation and the post was widely discussed – and sometimes mocked – on social media.

Meadows added, “I think an anti-establishment campaign is just want the doctor ordered – whether in North Carolina, California, or IL”.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump participates in a roundtable discussion on national security in his offices in Trump Tower in New York, Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2016. RNC chief strategist Sean Spicer called Trump’s staffing changes the “healthy growth of the campaign at a senior level at a key point”.

Meanwhile, Bannon, who had previously worked as the executive chairman of alt-right news and opinion site Breitbart News, did not make any public comments Thursday, signaling that Conway could emerge as the new merry face of the Trump campaign while the former Breitbart chief pulls strings behind the scenes.
