At a weekly media briefing, foreign office spokesman Nafees Zakaria said confessions of Indian spy agency Research and Analysis Wing’s agent Kulbhushan Yadav were irrefutable.

On 15 July 2016 Pakistan had requested the United Nations rights commissioner to send a fact finding mission to Indian Occupied Kashmir to report on the gross violations of human rights since July 8, 2016.
The High Commissioner while noting the seriousness of allegations of excessive use of force and “state sponsorship of violence” regretted the failure of Indian and Pakistani authorities to allow a United Nations team access to Jammu and Kashmir to carry out an independent analysis of the situation.
This approach to India was reflected in support for terrorist activities in Jammu & Kashmir that continues to the present day.
Mr. Zakaria said Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will lead the official delegation at the General Assembly session.
Without revealing details of India’s Balochistan and PoK policy, Ministry of External Affairs today asserted that New Delhi considers people of Pakistan occupied Kashmir as its own and India will do whatever it has to do. “At appropriate time, we will further take action in this regard”, he added. “We would encourage greater dialogue and counter-terrorism cooperation between Pakistan and India” said Mark Toner, Deputy Spokesperson. Most Kashmiris are Muslim and want an end to rule by Hindu-majority India, instead favoring independence or a merger with Pakistan.
Home minister Rajnath Singh was greeted by protests over Kashmir when he visited Islamabad earlier this month for a South Asian home ministers’ meeting. He said confirmation from India was awaited.
