A British athlete was robbed in Rio during the Olympics, according to officials.

The report comes after USA gold medallist Ryan Lochte and three team mates said they were robbed by armed men carrying police badges while travelling to the Athletes’ Village in a taxi in the early hours of the morning after a party.
The report comes as three American Olympic swimmers planned to meet with Brazilian law enforcement Thursday to discuss a reported robbery targeting 12-time medalist Ryan Lochte and his teammates.
Meanwhile, Brazilian authorities have prevented three US swimmers who claimed they too had been held at gunpoint and robbed from heading back to the United States. “Taxis can not be considered safe late at night”, it read.
Gunnar Bentz and Jack Conger were taken off a plane at Rio airport on Wednesday as local police investigate Sunday’s alleged robbery involving them, Lochte and James Feigen, who stayed in Rio.
It’s unclear how long the athletes will be detained for and whether or not Ryan Lochte, who arrived in the US before the order the have his passport seized came through, will have to return to Rio.
Team GB long jump star Greg Rutherford was also been targeted, with a phone containing pictures of his young son stolen at the weekend.
According to Scott Field, Director of Communications for Team GB, the unnamed athlete was held up “returning to their accommodation” from a night out early Tuesday morning.
A team spokesman confirmed the incident to The Huffington Post, saying that “All members of our delegation, including the individual concerned, are accounted for, and are safe and well”.

Tax is charged on both the money they receive from the Olympic committee for winning and on the value of the Olympic medal. “Stopping people leaving the village would be insane”.
